I genuinely have a disgusting jealousy towards Americans, even though I know you guys have more legal issues than us Brits.

Like, I saw someone on Twitter (ik, lol) say that they had such massive long waitlists and the earliest appointment to get hormone treatment is November... Ive been on the waitlist for 7 years and literally wont be seen for another 10 years at the current wait.

Ive seen people talking about their insurance and how long it takes, but people seem to only be waiting a year or two for that to be sorted... but it takes us years of appointments just to get referrals before being on years long waitlists for a surgical appointment before waiting for surgery.

Ive seen people saying that they have to spend out loads on surgery. But then they quote amounts like 3000 dollars for bottom surgery because their insurance covers the rest.

Ive just spent out 10k on top/hysto AND had to pay to go abroad AND buy travel insurance, etc, etc. If I had it in the UK, it would be 10-15k for top alone, then its impossible to get a hysto.

If I got bottom surgery, it would be easily 50-100k to grt it abroad or 100-200k to get it in the UK. And no complications are covered in that amount, so it can easily double, triple or more if anything goes wrong.

People say their hormones are super expensive then quote like 50 dollars a month. Im literally spending that amount on mine, but Im also paying out of pocket for endo appointments and blood tests and if anything goes wrong Id have to pay out of pocket for any more endo medications because my GP would refuse to cover it because its not his work.

Ive seen people complaining that they werent allowed to start puberty blockers for a few months/years.

Ive been out to doctors and therapists and everything since I was 11. Im 22 now and I still havent been seen by a gender clinic to get any treatment on the NHS even though Ive been diagnosed with gender dysphoria once as a kid (maybe around 13/14), and I was rediagnosed at the beginning of last year. I was literally out before I started meaningful puberty changes and I couldn't fucking do anything.

Im just so fuckijg jealous about everything.

I keep seeing people fully transition in the USA within 5-10 years, but Ive literally been sat here after being out for over 10 years and Ive only been able to start TRT 9 months ago and I was only able to get top/hysto 11 days ago because I had been saving up every little drop of money Ive had for the past decade.
