Please don't downvote posts in this comm because you think a ban was justified. That defeats the purpose of this comm.

I don't know who is the mod of that community, but I suspect it's the OP of the post.

My comment was a list of problems I've had lately on Windoz, pointing how in my recent experience I lost more time there than on Linux for an equivalent use.

I don't remember my exact words and now they are erased, but it went along the lines of:

I have to use Windoz for work, and lately I lost more time on it than on Linux:

I've had several problems with teams (audio input/output switching unintentionaly, main audio output not controlled by keys/shortcuts, freezing, not answering calls)
Copilot freezing the complete OS so that a reboot was necessary.
Unable to scroll in a Copilot thread.
Locked by Bitlocker after update.
Task scheduler losing a task after sleep.
...

So pretty much a list of actual issues I met, not exactly what I would call being an evangelist saying Linux is superior blablabla. I've no idea (OK, maybe I have). I simply stated facts.

Is it possible to see who the mod was? Is it a temporary ban?

It's a shame because I precisely created this account on lemmy.zip to see all instances and communities. /shrug Funny.

Edit: sorry I forgot the post: here
And some formatting edit.

I did make a mistake and thought that flatworm and db0 voted to refederate with hexbear and not lemmygrad but voting to refederate with lemmygrad doesn’t help disprove the claim that db0 is anti-tankie.

Recently banned from communities i either haven't interacted with at all, or not for some time (since the shit went down with Stamets iirc).

Since the debacle that is AdmiralPatrick is just getting sad at this point, i choose to believe it was for saying "Stamets was right"

Basically, a user is now crusading against me and others after the Tesseract drama attempting to claim that I am somehow calling for people to be doxxed? Multiple users and myself have explained how this is not the case, but he continues to spread misinformation. Having reported the user several times as they continue malicious action nothing has occurred. Other users have stated that this user has been problematic in the past but the piefed instance keeps them around anyway.

I have a feeling this stems from the fact that they don't know that apostrophes apply a possessive...and they believe that calling out someone's public actions is doxxing. I think?

after the recent disgraceful behavior in YPTB where @deceptichum@quokk.au was banned by @MrKaplan@lemmy.world for being a "troll", I banned MrKaplan preemptively from !anarchymemes@anarchist.nexus, as I do anyone who displays zionist tendencies. the ban reason was for "zionism, genocide apologia". calling someone pointing out the FHF's long history of zionism and protecting zionist users a "troll" and saying they are acting in "bad faith" is absolutely zionism, and zionism is genocide apologia. at the same time, I also banned @recursive_recursion@lemmy.ca for also banning @deceptichum@quokk.au, with a suspiciously similar ban message.

this aggravated @MrKaplan@lemmy.world, who then started asking around about me to find out more information. they quickly found my profile, which as anyone who has been around AN or dbzer0 might know, has always been rather spicy when it comes to the US and Israel.

“scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds”

queer armed militant anarchist. death to the United States, and death to Israel! the only good zionist is a dead zionist.

my display name at the time was also Luminous5481 "Murder all zionists" [they/them]. this wasn't aimed at MrKaplan, but rather zionism as an ideology in general. it has long been my very vocal opinion that there is no appreciable difference between the state of Israel and Nazi Germany, nor between zionism and nazism. both nations are guilty of having engaged in genocide over the span of years, something determined by the ICC, if not the eyes and ears of anyone who has seen the shocking scenes of Israeli terrorism coming from Gaza these past years.

however, this rightfully calling for the death of a ideology that is incompatible with anarchism, and the rest of humanity in general, was enough for MrKaplan to not only instance ban me, but entirely defederate the instances under the control of the FHF cabal from Anarchist Nexus.

but that wasn't enough. they also contacted other admins of popular instances, and encouraged them to defederate from AN and dbzer0, claiming that the other admins of the flotilla had refused to do anything about it, despite MrKaplan immediately defederating as soon as he raised his concerns with our team. this obviously is a blatant lie, likely to cover for the fact that he most likely did not bother reaching a consensus with the other LW admins over his actions before he took them. but idk about that, it's only my speculation. I only know what he and other admins have said behind closed doors to our team.

collapsed inline mediaKs1hd8fy2de6Y7x.png

collapsed inline mediaIWemylIiZfx5zaa.png

the fact of the matter is that wishing death to zionists is a popular opinion among leftists. it's one that I've held for years, and it didn't suddenly go away when Israel accelerated their genocide in 2023. nor did it go away when the German government, and certain German instances and users threw their support behind a genocidal regime intent on wiping out a race and religion they see as subhuman. did I say it more often or more plainly than plenty of other leftists? sure! but do not assume that the opinion is not shared by many who oppose an ideology that, like the nazis, is the enemy of all mankind.

for now, I have graciously offered to step down as admin, in the hopes that the FHF will stop throwing their weight around to bully smaller instances and suppress the free speech of the people. it's one thing to ban a user for a viewpoint you don't like. it's another thing to defederate from an instance, and then threaten other instances to get them to defederate as well. it's another thing to go around telling everyone they should defederate simply because you are offended at an opinion that should be shared by all who love humanity. of course, some might say that this is entirely because I accused the "FHF team members of being zionists while simultaneously calling for zionists to be murdered". but if that were true, then why has MrKaplan not also defederated from lemmy.ml, despite many of their users being just as vocal as I am ? there's a big difference between AN and ML, and that difference is user count. MrKaplan feels he can get away with throwing his weight around and demanding other instances censor themselves according to his views when it's an instance that's smaller than LW. and I'm not asking to be unbanned. I really do not care about "missing out" on LW. but at the very least? MrKaplan should not be censoring other instances and maliciously attacking them behind their back by seeking defederation from other admins. and he certainly should not be doing it in the dark, where nobody can see or comment.

UPDATE: @rimu@piefed.social also banned me for "death threats", something which doesn't show up in the modlog because I've never used that instance for anything.

Right, the Gaza Genocide isn't US Politics... Those aren't US made bombs being dropped with US politicians cheering them on and US diplomatic support and denial allowing the Genocide to continue. Nothing could be more salient to US politics than the ways in which the Palestinian Genocide drove us to war.

What a joke.

I feel that this situation unfortunately requires escalation and I will be directly contacting Lemmy World mods, I will update with their response.

For the record the first article about corporate complicity in the Palestinian Genocide includes references to many major US corporations, thus making it drirectly relevant to US politics at an immediate level.

https://sopuli.xyz/post/42581206

https://www.alai.info/en/corporate-participation-and-complicity-in-the-genocide-against-the-palestinian/

The second article about US media's complicity in coverage over the Palestinian Genocide... do I need to actually explain how that is related to US politics? Of course it is?

https://sopuli.xyz/post/42579919

https://dawnmena.org/destroying-al-shifa-hospital-robin-andersens-the-complicity-lens-us-media-coverage-of-israels-genocide-in-gaza/

The third article is relevant because the US and Israel have been intimately interwoven in their escalation of Genocide and breaking of international norms, if a Genocide begins in Lebanon it will be a DIRECT continuation of US politics applied first in Israel and next in Lebanon. I mean what the hell we are fighting a war RIGHT NOW and this is the biggest escalation possible IN THAT WAR. How is that NOT related to US politics?!?!?!?!!!!!???

https://sopuli.xyz/post/42579757

https://www.newarab.com/news/israel-replicating-its-gaza-war-tactics-lebanon

The fourth article about there being no ceasefire in Gaza, I don't even know how to go about this one, om, it is politics involving primarily the US here? The US is the single most relevant political actor capable of changing this situation? How is this not US politics? Where can you cleanly draw a line here?

https://sopuli.xyz/post/42630002

https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/there-no-ceasefire-gaza

The US is directly and intimately complicit in the Palestinian Genocide, you cannot in good conscience nor with logical consistency separate US politics cleanly from this issue, if you wanted that to be possible you should have spoken up louder against the Genocide before, now it is too late to fumble with broken stilted arguments like this. The Palestinian Genocide is US Politics, period, end of story.

Can we finally stop pretending that what we have been witnessing in Gaza over the past 22 months is a “war,” a “conflict,” or even a “humanitarian crisis”? Many of the world’s leading human rights and humanitarian groups – including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Doctors Without Borders – agreed months ago that what is being livestreamed to our phones on a daily basis is indeed a genocide.

...

Trump’s Republican allies in the House and Senate are even more gung-ho. Forget complicity; Congress is filled with GOP cheerleaders for genocide, from Senators Tom “bounce the rubble in Gaza” Cotton to Lindsey “level the place” Graham. The newest member of the House, Randy Fine, a Republican representative of Florida, has called for the nuking of Gaza and said just days ago that Palestinians in Gaza should “starve away” until the Israeli hostages are all released. (A reminder that incitement to genocide is also a crime under Article III of the Genocide convention.)

But we cannot let Democrats off the hook either. The first 16 months of this mass slaughter unfolded on a Democratic president’s watch. From the get-go, Joe Biden gave Netanyahu and his cabinet of génocidaires everything they needed – 2,000-lb bombs to drop on refugee camps filled with Palestinian children? Check. UN security council vetoes to prevent the passage of resolutions calling for a permanent ceasefire? Check. The burial of internal US government reports warning of war crimes and famine in Gaza? Check.

It wasn’t just Biden. The vast majority of Democrats in Congress spent much of 2024 casting vote after vote to keep arming, funding and whitewashing the mass killing of Palestinian civilians. Even now, in the summer of 2025, seven high-profile Democratic senators were happy to take a smiling photo with Netanyahu, including the Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, who claims talk of genocide is antisemitic and says his job “is to keep the left pro-Israel”.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/defence-blog-bias-and-credibility/

Does this sound like a blog about frivolous opinions that would bring down the quality of posts on a politics community? Does this pass the smell test to you?

I would think this was just another mistake, but Jordan Lund has a pattern of behavior around this topic that I find extremely problematic, and I think it was one of the reasons he was removed as a mod at Lemmy.World.

https://lemmy.world/post/36621226

See this post where Jordan Lund removes a post from Dropsite News a highly regarded news source that is directly referenced by many mainstream news outlets and includes among other stalwart journalists, Ryan Grim.

https://lemmy.world/post/41068936

https://www.dropsitenews.com/about

https://www.unftr.com/blog/progressive-spotlight-ryan-grim

Grim’s talent is in identifying stories that are under-reported or contradict the supposed ideals of America. Among the many themes he interrogates is the United States’ public position on human rights and democracy. Grim’s recent reporting on the United States’ role in effectively toppling the democratically elected government of Imran Khan has been first class, and he often brings those questions to U.S. State Department press conferences, where his back-and-forth with official government spokespeople can be captured for all to witness.

And while there’s an ever-growing roster of progressive journalists performing great work—whether on war, civil liberties, or economics—Grim is the rare reporter on the left who the establishment respects. While some may view that as a shortcoming, Grim’s penchant for relationship building, combined with a tenacious desire to get to the truth, has served him—and the rest of us—well.

I posted this meme to the Lemmy Shitpost community. I have reason to believe that the post was deleted not because it was controversial, but because the moderator (Decoy321) disagreed with the political slant of the meme. The reason I find this suspicious is because other controversial posts, such as one about veganism remains up, and Decoy321 seemed to enjoy the fact it was controversial:

To the mods of this comm, I understand this isn't a post complaining about a mod action taken against me. It's hardly even a complaint against a mod, although he does mod a handful of communities. I know it's a hard-to-prove personal message that the accused will deny sending or say was a joke he told a troll, his word vs mine. But this is beyond the usual actions mods take. This is abuse of the fediverse, harrassment, ban evasion, and vote manipulation.

I believe the situation to be self evident even without this message that the users who frequent DonaldJMusk's comms are primarily him with a new username on a new server and they're leaking out into other communities with ill intent.

If action is to be taken against this post, I ask that it be locked and not deleted.

So for context, a certain Zionist Feddit admin complained earlier about being banned from lemmy.ml and they recently got banned from here for the same thing. But they were not banned from sh.itjust.works and made a post complaining in !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works, I'm not linking that directly they've already accused me of brigading their community.

Anyway I argued with them for a while and continued to shoot down their deflections and justifications (way longer than anyone should argue with any Zionist troll) and goat decides to respond to me accusing me of using antisemitic symbols, the triple parentheses. Now what I actually used were 3 sets of quotation marks but he said they were similar. And asked me to edit the post. What do you think?

Is he right? Should I edit the comment? Or is he just trying to deflect from my criticism by saying it's antisemitic?

No bans or removals have happened yet in this situation as of writing this.

Edit: I want to say, that the reaction to this post is shameful, many of the people below in this posts' comments are some of the legitimately most disgusting people on planet earth. Holy fuck I anticipated some nastiness but never this much.

I'm not making another of these posts and I will be reporting and blocking any of the dipshits who make accounts to harass me in my DMs.

Maybe I fucked up, maybe I was too harsh. Maybe I owe some people apologies. I don't know at this point and I suspect I will never know for sure.

Also if you came here legitimately giving feedback and not just bad-jacketing or harassing me. I thank you and the above message wasn't meant for you. This post has been brigaded and shut down by a Zionist troll harassing me with a deluge of alt accounts.

Adendum to my post:

I should've known better than to trust or listen to @goat@sh.itjust.works in any way... I assume it has something to do with the discussion in the other thread on YPTB. Still doesn't make sense to only ban me from one community I haven't interacted with in a while.

With background

The person in question is a very dedicated anti-vegan troll who is known to make non-sequitur claims as replies to vegans, in the hopes of roping then into a defensive position under the guise of "debate".

To exemplify this I engaged with them a couple months ago and got a perfect showcase of their behaviour. I had never used this and have never replied to them since then (at least I don't remember that I have and searching didn't turn anything up). But then when they replied to me yesterday I did. And got promptly banned for "harassment" and "following someone around". I messaged the mod who banned me to no reply.

Their behaviour is being enabled by lemmy.world mods like @aeronmelon@lemmy.world who will readily delete comments made by vegans should they dare step a foot outside of the norms of "civilized debate", like e.g. in the same thread (1) and (2). The petulant and incessant trolling by them is of course never subject to such moderation actions.

To any vegan comrades, do not engage this troll, you risk getting banned and your comments deleted.

Apparently I used wrong account to post this. Will have to switch accounts to my blahaj account on occasion to reply to comments, apologies.
